How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile applications and website.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

At CrispyApps LLC we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile applications and website. By using our Apps or Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Information you provide: such as your email address when contacting us or creating an account.
  • Automatically collected data: including device type, operating system, app usage, and crash reports.

2. Ink - Journal & Diary

Ink is a journaling app designed with your privacy as a priority. Here's how your data is handled:

Local Data Storage

All journal entries, including text, images, and metadata, are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your journal content.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your journal data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data is:

  • End-to-end encrypted by Apple
  • Accessible only to you through your Apple ID
  • Not accessible to CrispyApps LLC under any circumstances

You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings or via Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud on your device.

What We Don't Collect

  • We do not collect, read, or store your journal entries
  • We do not have access to your photos, location data, or personal reflections
  • We do not sell or share any user data with third parties

Analytics

Ink may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics (such as app launches or feature usage) to help us improve the app. This data cannot be used to identify you or access your journal content. You may opt out of analytics in the app settings.

3. Abroad - Travel Journal

Abroad is a travel journal app that lets you document your trips and share them with others through private travel circles. Here's how your data is handled:

Account & Authentication

Abroad uses Firebase Authentication to manage user accounts. When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide. Your authentication credentials are securely managed by Google Firebase.

Trip Data & Storage

Your journal entries, trip details, photos, and other content are stored in Firebase cloud services. This means your data is accessible across your devices when you are signed in. We use industry-standard security measures provided by Firebase to protect your stored data.

Travel Circles & Community Features

Abroad allows you to create private travel circles and invite others using a unique code. When you participate in a travel circle:

  • Content you share within a circle is visible to all members of that circle
  • Your profile name and shared trip content are visible to circle members
  • Circle invite codes are generated uniquely and can be revoked by the circle creator
  • You control what content you share — only content you explicitly post to a circle is visible to its members

What We Don't Do

  • We do not sell your trip data, photos, or personal content to third parties
  • We do not access or read your private journal entries for advertising purposes
  • We do not share your data outside of the travel circles you choose to participate in

Data Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app settings or by contacting us. When you delete your account, your trip data, profile information, and circle memberships are permanently removed.

4. Luca - Expense Tracker

All expense data is stored locally on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your financial data.

Luca collects anonymous analytics (Mixpanel), anonymous onboarding survey responses (Firebase Firestore), and manages subscriptions through RevenueCat. No personal identifiers, financial details, or account information are collected.

Voice Input

Luca offers a voice input feature for logging expenses. When you use voice input, your speech is transcribed on-device. The transcribed text is then sent to Google's Gemini API for processing to extract expense details (such as amount, category, and description). No audio recordings are sent — only the text transcription. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Voice input is entirely optional and can be avoided by entering expenses manually.

5. Cremini - Recipe Keeper

Cremini is a recipe keeper that stores your recipes on your own device. Here's how your data is handled:

Local Data Storage

All recipes, including titles, ingredients, instructions, images, and any notes you add, are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your recipe content, with one exception: if you choose to share a recipe that uses your own photo, a copy of that photo is uploaded so the recipient can see it. This is explained in Sharing Recipes below.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync, your recipe data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit so it stays available across your devices.

In-App Web Browsing

Cremini includes an in-app browser so you can visit recipe websites and save recipes without leaving the app. When you use this feature:

  • We do not log, track, or store the websites you visit or your browsing history.
  • Recipes you choose to save from a website are stored on your device in the same way as recipes you enter yourself.
  • The websites you visit are operated by third parties and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms, not ours.
  • Any information you enter directly into a third-party website — such as an account login on a recipe site — is handled by that website, and we have no access to it.

Sharing Recipes

Cremini lets you share a recipe with someone else by sending them a link. Sharing is always something you start — nothing is shared automatically. When you share a recipe:

  • The recipe's text — its title, ingredients, instructions, and any notes — travels inside the link itself and is not stored by us.
  • If that recipe uses a photo you took or scanned yourself, the photo is too large to fit inside a link. A copy of it is uploaded to Firebase Storage, a Google cloud service, so that the person you send the link to is able to see it.

For any photo uploaded this way:

  • It is only uploaded when you choose to share that specific recipe. Photos in recipes you never share stay on your device and are never uploaded.
  • Anyone who has the link can view it. The link contains a long, randomly generated address that cannot be guessed, and we do not publish, list, or index these links anywhere. It is not password protected, so treat a shared link the way you would treat anything else you send someone — whoever you pass it on to can also open it.
  • The uploaded copy is automatically deleted after 30 days. After that the link will no longer show the photo. The original photo always remains on your device.
  • We use these photos for one purpose only: delivering the recipe you chose to share. We do not view them, use them to identify you, use them for advertising, or share them with anyone other than the person opening your link.
  • Your recipe photos are not connected to your name or your Apple ID, because Cremini does not ask you to create an account.

Google's handling of data stored in Firebase is governed by Firebase's Privacy and Security policy. If you want a shared photo removed before the 30 days are up, contact us at support@crispyappsllc.com and we will delete it.

What We Don't Collect

  • We do not collect, read, or store the recipes you keep in the app
  • Aside from a photo you explicitly choose to share, as described above, we do not access your photo library or the websites you browse in the app
  • We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for their own purposes

6. Keyboard Access & Privacy (PasteBox)

Some of our apps, such as PasteBox, include an custom keyboard extension. To enable certain features such as pasting text that the user has saved & deep linking from the keyboard extension into the app to perform an action, the keyboard may request “Full Access” in iOS.

Even with Full Access enabled:

  • We do not log, record, or track anything you type.
  • We never access passwords, credit card numbers, or private messages.
  • The keyboard only uses data that you explicitly choose to save or paste — nothing else.
  • Full Access is used only to enable features such as deep linking into the app from a keyboard extension button for ease of use, never for monitoring typing activity.
  • You may disable the keyboard or Full Access at any time in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards.

7. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve our Apps and Services.
  • Communicate with you, including customer support.
  • Analyze usage and fix technical issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

  • Trusted service providers (hosting, analytics, payments).
  • Authorities when required by law.
  • In case of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials where applicable.
